Jasmine tested positive for COVID on July 26. Her condition continued to decline and after the 3rd visit to the ER on Aug 4, she was hospitalized where she was being treated for a severe case of pneumonia. On Aug 10, she suffered a heart attack and was rushed to a larger hospital where they catheterized her heart. Her arteries are clear but her heart and lungs have been infected by COVID. She is on a ventilator in ICU and in a medically induced coma so she is not in any physical discomfort or emotional distress. Over the past 4 days, her heart and lungs have shown slight improvement; there is a concern for her kidneys.
I purposely left out many details, but suffice it to say that this is a difficult journey and we are only at the beginning. There is a long road ahead.
I do not know nor understand God’s plan and purpose but one thing is very clear. There are more people who love God and love His people than we could ever know. Every day, I receive an email, a text message, or a phone call from someone saying that another prayer group, church, ministry, or individual is praying for Jasmine and me. Most of the prayer warriors we will never meet this side of heaven, but it is comforting to know that we have God’s attention because hundreds of people from, literally, around the world are appealing to God for Jasmine’s healing and restoration.
