Morris and Jasmine Isara were married in Honolulu on March 16, 1985. They moved to Dallas in 1987, and for the next 34 years, they served in various pastoral ministries, took mission trips, and for the last 15 years, they helped restore the lives and marriages of hundreds of people through their counseling ministry. God equipped Jasmine with an amazing gift of discernment, which she applied, not only in a formal counseling setting but in ministering to people on a personal level. For Jasmine, ministry was not a vocation; it was her life. Everyone remembers Jasmine for her love for God, people, and animals. Dearest to her heart were her children Rhapsody and Seizen, and her five granddaughters – Leila, Emily, Lotus, Lori, and Kelly.
In July 2021, Jasmine tested positive for COVID-19, and on September 8, 2021, the Lord called her home. During her illness, I created a blog to inform people how to pray. After her passing, reflections of her life significantly influence the blog posts’ content (see Blog above). As a means to perpetuate her legacy, we have established the Jasmine Lei Isara Memorial Fund, which enables us to provide counseling and training to those who are not otherwise able to receive it. She is sorely missed, but the impact of her life continues. Her epitaph reads, “Her heart of surrender left an imprint on the hearts of others.”
